Be Thankful For the Wealth You Have

A short note on the true nature of wealth…
8 years ago today I was sitting on an airplane in San Jose, CA when they annonunced a short delay.
Then they announced an air traffic control hold on all take offs.
Then they asked us to get off the plane.
When we got back into the terminal, the world had changed forever.
Wealth is not measured solely in monetary terms. Today, remember to be grateful for what you have (that you even have a 401K or other assets to complain about puts you in a small % of people on Earth). My grandma used to say that any day on the right side of the ground is a good day. Today, tell someone… anyone … that you appreciate them. It will make them feel good. Might make you feel good too!
Cheers to your wealth!
Part of the Solution

I have a local meetup that I host called Manifesting Wealth: Implementing the Law of Attraction. Tonight’s topic is “How to Stay Positive in Challenging Times.”
So, since I have to run the meeting and in theory contribute something to the discussion, I have been thinking about this a bit. It’s a timely topic - the economy is certainly not thriving: jobs being lost, real estate and stock prices are getting hammered, the overall mood of our country is somber.
I think the latter is an improvement from ‘fearful’ which is where we were about 2-3 weeks ago. Obama’s decisive victory was one of the first positive feelings I got from watching the news in months.
I think everyone could improve their own perspective AND the reality that comes with it If we focus our intention on being a part of the solution, in whatever form that takes, and not promoting the fear and uncertainty that comes with the kind of dynamic we are going through right now. When you are looking for a solution, you are feeling positive emotion— but when you are looking at a problem, you are feeling negative emotion.
No matter how you “implement” this perspective, whether it is a cheerful attitude of gratitude for the health and well being you have, being helpful and generous with your time in assisting others or any other kind of ‘part of the solution’ behavior, your quality of life cannot help but improve.
Keep your consciousness in a higher vibrational state - be a part of the solution.
Attitude is NOT Everything

The phrase “Attitude is everything” makes me cringe a bit. It is true that attitude is hugely important and one of the things that will determine your present and future more than many other things one might consider. Your attitude will give energy to your intention which will indeed manifest the reality you are creating for yourself.
It is not however … everything. My attitude is not going to allow me to become a world class sprinter. You need to start with the physical gifts that support your success in that kind of competitive endeavor. You need to work hard and find the resources ($$) that will support you training to do something like that.
Your attitude will not make the stock market go up. It will however put you in a place where you accept what is the rest of the world’s reality (economic downturn, credit crisis, widespread fear) and react accordingly. Study the market, use a system, make money …. dont be a lemming and/or an Eeyore following the crowd and moaning about what a tragedy it all is.
And on and on …
Your attitude is a big part of the classic equation (used by Jack Canfield and others): Event + Reaction = Outcome. All you control is your reaction; this has a lot to do with both the reality and the perception of the outcome (some may say those two are the same thing anyway!).
Don’t spread the fear … the Dark Side is counting on your help. Without a conduit to spread the negativity, it will die off like a vampire dragged out into the bright light of day.
Move towards the light, take a deep breath and be grateful for everything you are.
And watch Sponge Bob…always a good idea if you need a laugh. Dumb? Yeah, but it works!
Namaste.
